To Kill A Mockingbird

Quotations

"Cry about the simple hell people give other people without even thinking.  Cry about the hell white people give colored folks, without even stopping to think that they're people too." - Mr. Raymond
This goes good with the theme racial injustice.  It goes well because it is not fair that blacks get treated differently than whites.  Colored people are just as much people as whites.

"This case is as simple as black and white." - Atticus Finch
This quote also goes with racial injustice.  He knows that Tom did not do what Mayella said he did and even though all the evidence proves Tom's story he still will not win because he is colored.

"Tom Robinson's daddy sent you along this chicken this morning." - Calpurnia
This could go with the theme friendship.  The Robinson's show how grateful they are for what Atticus did and so is the rest of the colored community so they send food as their thanks.
